WHAT I DID ON MY SUMMER VACATION:

June 25th: Flew from Bogotá to Chicago with Tomás.
Met up with XUMAPAZ bandmates (Chicago chapter)
Sammie Torres and Janet Cramer. Caught Sammie with
"Caliente" at Navy Pier. Got to sing some bossa nova
with one of (busy) Janet's Brazilian bands Rio Bamba.
Saw BeauSoleil, Marcia Ball and the amazing Bob Margolin
with Nappy Brown at Fitzgerald's.

July 10th: Flew with Tomás, my sister Beek and Potatoe Queen Alice to Port Townsend, WA to visit Grandma. Hiked around Hurricane Ridge. Big Bro Mike drove up from Chico to hang. Family jam. Tomi got his ear pierced.
July 18th: Back to Chicago for more fun with family and
friends. Met with long-lost producer/engineer and all-round
inspiration Mike Konopka of Thundertone Audio who produced "Chicago Reel." (re: new project!!!) Had a blast one evening making silly YouTube fodder with wonderful "Tiny Band" musicians.

July 25th: Back to Bogotá to finish up CD at Digitrak Studios, energized and full of piss and vinegar after fab vacation. Time to start plotting for XUMAPAZ's US shows in October 2007.
